Dr Colleen Stieler-Hunt is an educator, researcher, and game designer. She was a part of the team responsible for designing, researching, and evaluating the child sexual abuse prevention game Orbit. Her doctoral research focused on the use of digital games to help students learn in primary and secondary school classrooms.
Colleen has a special interest in encouraging girls to consider ICT and games careers. She has organised and run workshops for girls in schools and has participated as a mentor in the Search for the Next Tech Girl Super Hero program. Colleen organises a yearly event to showcase the work of USC game developers and the local games industry. Colleen co-supervises Masters and Doctoral students in fields related to games for learning and games for pro-social change.
